Free mutant-hunting adventure game

Traverse a post-apocalyptic world infested with mutant animals in Mutant Division. Developed by the same studio that brought Echocalypse and Time Raiders, Yoozoo Singapore, this free simulation game presents hunting and collecting mutants. Its graphics come in stunning detail and the lore is highly thought-provoking.

Mutant Division combines an action-packed adventure with hunting and shooting mechanics. A wide array of unique and powerful mutants is waiting for the player to discover and collect as well as a vast map to explore. The game can be played by a single player and needs a constant connection to the internet.

Hunt and collect mutants

Mutant Division opens with an interactive cutscene that effectively sets the atmosphere—the player gets introduced to the protagonist Jason and his loyal dog Banner, who are scouring the area for supplies. A humongous blue mutant suddenly appears and attacks the two, but they get saved by Dr. Heather, a member of the Daybreak League that aims to treat mutants and bring back normalcy to the world.

As the story progresses, Banner mutates into a rogue mutant and runs away. In Jason’s search for his runaway beloved pet, more characters will be added to the party and more mutants will be tamed. The party will cross the map and unlock areas previously covered by fog. Wild mutants terrorizing cities and people can be engaged in battles, with resources as rewards for every successful fight.

A prominently interesting aspect of this game is its rich lore and promising premise. It sets itself apart from typical post-apocalyptic simulators through its highly interactive game mechanics and detailed graphics. Speaking of graphics, while these are very impressive to look at, the high quality may hinder older devices or those with low RAM from working seamlessly. The game also needs a stable internet connection to work.

May not be for older devices

Overall, Mutant Division is a promising game. The premise is very intriguing and the attention to detail in terms of graphics and lore is remarkable. There is a diverse cast of mutants to meet and collect, and hunting them down is always a thrilling process. Players will also meet lots of unique characters and do quests for them. However, the game may not work smoothly on older devices.
